Event: Google @ RIT Dubai
Dubai-GTUG are proud to have Mr. Allahbaksh Assadullah from Bangalore-GTUG as our guest speaker. Mr. Assadullah will give us an introductory lecture on Google Web Toolkit (GWT). The lecture will last for around 2 hours, and it's very recommended to bring your laptops since it will be a practical session.
In addition to that, Mr. Saad Kayyali will tell us about his experience at Google I/O conference, and he will show us a brief demonstration on Google TV one of the latest Google products.
Finally we will have a brief discussion panel about Google+, its advantages over other social media platforms, and if it's really Facebook killer or not?

Event: Medical Tourism - Creating Destination Competitiveness

Speaker: Richard "Rick" M. Lagiewski
Rick Lagiewski is a Senior Lecturer at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Rochester, New York. He has been teaching at RIT's Hospitality and Tourism Management Department in the School of International Hospitality and Service Innovation since 2001. Mr. Lagiewski's research and teaching interests include: destination development, resort management, tourism in transitional economies, organizational change and creating service competitiveness through creative practices. He led a project for the East West Institute on cross-border institution building for tourism between Bosnia, Montenegro and Croatia. Over the last seven years Rick has been an active scholar in delivering papers at the European Council of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Educators (EuroCHRIE) conference in such locations at; Turkey, France, Greece, Finland, Netherlands and Dubai. Topics have ranged from issues relating to medical tourism, experiential marketing and public private efforts in tourism development.

TOEFL ITP Test To Be Conducted On Campus
If you have not yet submitted the TOEFL scores for your admission at RIT Dubai, this would be the best opportunity for you to complete this requirement. The TOEFL (or IELTS) is a mandatory requirement by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHESR) as well as by RIT's main campus in New York, USA.
You must bring valid ID such as:
The minimum passing score is 550. If you score less than 550, you may be required to retake the exam.
If you have scored less than 6.5 IELTS then you are required to the TOEFL test.
If your scores are expired (older than 2 years from your date of application) you are required to the TOEFL test.
If you have graduated from USA or UK, you are not required to take the TOEFL.
